I admit I got a wee bit nervous, when the Snow Leopard installer said I
couldn’t install onto the hard drive, because it isn’t bootable:
I’d simply forgotten to reboot after uninstalling PGP the
other day. Whew! First impression: Snow Leopard is a good deal faster, and has
cleaned away quite a bit of cruft. A
df -h
(disk free) before and after, is
quite impressive:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/disk0s2 298Gi 258Gi 39Gi 87% /
/dev/disk0s2 298Gi 247Gi 51Gi 83% /
I can always use the 12 Gig. (Note: this is correct: the new version is smaller than the old!)
