Our Far East mail servers project has been finalized. The customer is
satisfied and the small servers are performing very well. Day to day operation
is now setting in, with Nagios doing most of the work for us, which
means I can start concentrating on new things :-) I’d already reported
that bandwidth is an issue as can be seen with this graph. It reports times in
milliseconds for an HTTP HEAD request to complete. As soon as my
blinking Nagios map is ready (the board has been completed; just need to
get a nice map for it) I’m quite sure that the lights will start blinking like
crazy. This is the kind of message we get from first-level support:
I just called Karachi and was informed that there was no power supply in the whole area since yesterday and no idea when power supply will resume.
