During the Summer I purchased a handful of 1GB USB drives that I passed on to family members so that they could take photos home. Nice little SanDisk Cruzer thingies, dirt cheap. After plugging the first into my uncle's PC, I noticed that the damn USB drive autoplayed some rubbish which turned out to be a software called U3. I hate having USB sticks supplied with malware on them. Today I finally found the time to try and remove the crap. To cut a long story short, it is possible using a special removal tool, found thanks to this post. SanDisk, you should warn your consumers that your hardware contains software.
